Genevieve Roscoe

will o' the wisp transformed into a forest nymph for her good deeds

Hello my seedlings!
I'm a forest nymph vtuber, formerly a will o' the wisp, granted a physical body for my good deeds within the forest!
You see, the Tree of Life is ever so gracious, allowing me to carry out my good deeds with an even greater horizon than before! No longer am I limited to just the Forest, I’m able to bring comfy vibes to you all via this online streaming!
I can also protect the Forest and it's tiny creatures even greater now that I am promoted to Guardian of the Forest!

I may have gremlin and degenerate energy at times, it's normal, be not afraid! It's all part of the Comfy & Cozy vibes here...also may be the reason why I've been called DeGenevieve...
Anywho! I enjoy videogaming, watching anime, drawing, playing D&D, listening to ASMR, & eating all kinds of food!
I'm a variety streamer over on Twitch (twitch.tv/genevieveroscoe)! I love to play RPG's, Sim's, Indie, & really just Chill Comfy games!
Sometimes I may even surprise you with fanfic readings or drawing streams :)
I also love to stream art, cooking ASMR videos, and more!~

F.A.Q.

Does your name have meaning?: Yes! Genevieve was the name of a certain special human I encountered whilst still a will o' wisp, it has Celtic origins meaning "kin" & "woman". Roscoe I chose for it's meaning of "deer forest" in Old Norse.
Who is your animal friend?: Thistle! He's my weasel friend I had met at the start of my Forest Nymph journey. He changes with the seasons, just like I do! How neat is that?
What are your favourite games?: Some all time favourites of mine are: Fable series, Kingdoms of Amalur, Dragon's Dogma, Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt, Borderlands 2, & Animal Crossing!

...Have you heard of the legend,...of the will o’ the wisp?
The one who was different.
Not the trickster who lured victims often to their deaths, but, the one who provided aid back to their origins?
This one wished for more,... that’s me!
I am a forest nymph, however, not always so. I've been consciously drifting about as a wee little forest spirit, meeting all kinds of creatures and watching over the forest.
Amidst my journeys through the woods, I've occasionally encountered humans, I find them the most interesting of all the creatures I’ve encountered. Of all the humans I’ve ever seen…one in particular will always be remembered. She was lost, as all before her were and all those after her. What made her different from the rest was her gratitude and selflessness. Unlike the others, she worried for her loved ones, not of herself.
I lead her away from the forest to return to her people, as I always did, when she presented me an offering. A lock of her hair: enriched by the sun’s golden rays, flowers from her garden, and a wish: “may you too be blessed with the gift of love, in whatever path the higher ones choose for you, little one.”
What was this “love” she spoke of? The feeling in which humans share, forest creatures share...I see it now! I see it in the way in which all the animals of the forest treat each other, mother’s with their young, these “family bonds”.
I drift about the forest, always aiding those in need, yet with such curiosity that not of a trickster wisp.
Eventually, I found myself drawn to the Tree of Life. How did I get here? Aimlessly wandering, lost in my curious mind, I indeed found the Tree of Life!
It spoke to me; “What is it you wish for, little one?”. I found myself instinctively changing shape, resembling that of a body, I responded; “I want...a body!”. The Tree of Life was curious for the reasoning of such a wish, to that I answered; “...I’ve always aided the creatures of the forest, and too the humans who stumble upon this place. I would like to evolve into a being more suitable to further aid creatures of the forest and humans alike.”.
Silence becomes the Tree of Life, as I floated upon it’s exposed tree root in this unusual form. The Tree of Life prompts me with a quest; “I shall grant you a body; of your choosing. First, you must gather these materials 3: Springwater, that of pristine quality and clarity. Soil, that of richness and fertility. Finally, that of your most treasured object. I shall transform you into a Forest Nymph, having a physical body to use as you see fit. This, you have earned for your good deeds this past millennia. Return, with your components, and consider your wish; granted.”.
Thus, I gathered these materials; springwater, soil, and offered my treasured lock of golden hair that I’ve cherished all these years. Offering these to the Tree of Life, I was granted my wish! I transformed, from that of a Will o’ the Wisp, to a Forest Nymph!
Will I find love as I aid humans and other creatures with their endeavors? Will Her wish be granted, just as mine was?
1 year later, no longer a Forest Nymph in training, but a full-fledged Forest Nymph: Guardian of the Forest! I have since proven my worth more and more; aiding all creatures and humans alike!
It's been fun learning from humans and utilizing this knowledge to expand my assistance to all! Not only has my skillset improved, but I believe I'm onto something with this "love" my long lost friend once spoke of. I've grown quite fond of all the creatures, humans, and other beings I've met along my journey.
Some especially so; caring and nurturing them, and also spending quality time with them as well. I wish to hold those few closer to my heart, always wishing them well and hoping they find their happiness in life. They also make me feel very happy too, so I suppose it isn’t completely selfless...
